Emergency facilities

The locations of every known police, ambulance, metropolitan fire, rural and country fire, and SES facility in Australia, as points, in one schema. Compiled by Geoscience Australia from each state and territory agency and republished here with a radius search, so a question like "what is within 20 km of this address" is one call rather than eight agency websites. It answers where response comes FROM, which is the half of a hazard picture that incident feeds never carry.

Coverage: 8,888 facilities, measured 2026-09-25. By class: 4,486 rural and country fire, 1,569 policing, 1,170 ambulance, 921 SES, 738 metropolitan fire, 4 other. By jurisdiction: NSW 2,813, VIC 2,006, QLD 1,669, WA 980, SA 822, TAS 386, NT 152, ACT 57. Three Australian Federal Police facilities in the Indian Ocean Territories carry no state code, because they hold WA postcodes but sit roughly 2,600 km from WA; they are returned by radius search and never by a state filter.
Freshness: A reference layer, not a feed. Geoscience Australia republishes periodically and the layer is reloaded from source when they do; it is not polled, and a facility opening or closing will lag.
Provenance: Geoscience Australia, Emergency Management Facilities, under CC BY 4.0 confirmed from the service's own metadata. Each record carries the state or territory agency GA sourced it from. Listed at /api/v1/attribution.
